19th – 26th September 2009. Probably my life’s best week. I had the vacation of a life time. It was the first time I ever traveled overseas, in a airplane. Haha. Enjoyed every second. I followed my dad’s annual JGQA (Johor Granite Quarry Association) trip. These trips are technical meaning they involve a visit to foreign companies in related fields.
These trips began in year 2000. That means my dad have been going overseas for once a year, every year for 9 years straight. Not to mention my he tagging along my mom’s company trips too. For me, none. zero, zit, nada. I understood why he didn’t bring us. Me my brother and sister. It is expensive to bring the whole family along. Haha. Every year, I would ask in envy.
“Dad, where are you going this year?”
I still remember his first trip was to Bangkok, Thailand. Last year was Hokkaido, Japan. The year before Istanbul, Turkey. There were also various trips to China.
I wish he would one day take us along. After 9 years of waiting, my dad finally broke the dead lock. This year, he planned to bring my entire family along. The news was music to my ears.
Initial plans were to go to Sydney/Melbourne Australia, via Singapore Airline Airbus A380!!! World largest passenger airliner!!! But due to H1N1, plans were changed in everyone’s interest and we went to South Korea, via Boeing 777. Not the world’s largest airliner. Haha. To me, no matter. Both countries were great.
Check my Facebook account to see what I saw during my trip… Haha… Thanks
